Healthcare Education

Today, more than ever, healthcare professionals are faced with staying abreast of the most current education and technology to meet the ever-changing demands of the healthcare industry. Doing more with less has become "common practice" as the number of nurses, physicians and allied health personnel continues to dwindle. Add to that patients and their families asking multiple questions related to the illness, methods of available treatments, qualifications of their physician, equipment at the facility, and a host of other questions. This mixture can seem overwhelming to not only the patient and their family but also for the physicians and nurses to provide the answers.

Capital Media Group has discovered through our extensive work in the medical field that healthcare professionals can improve their patient care, patient satisfaction, and labor management with educational programming for their staff and patients that cover many of the educational information and repetitive questions facing the staff on a daily basis.

In addition to working with closed circuit healthcare broadcasters, CMG also works directley with Healthcare facilities to produce internal educational videos. The benefits of having customized educational materials are numerous. First and foremost, nutrition, pre and post operative videos provides familiarity and comfort for the patient and their family. Videos are an easy way to introduce the hospitals facilities, awards and capabilities to the patients.

Undergoing surgery is a very stressful situation for the patient and the patient's family. Providing interactive, easy to follow diagrams and instructions is important to increase the patients level understanding and mental well being prior to their proceedure. Another important element is to showcase the hospital's resources and the numerous informative programs that they offer all on one multi-language DVD. In order to improve education and ease the demands on the nursing staff many hospital administrators are turning to custom patient education videos.
