This STEM + Arts = STEAM documentary series showcases breakthrough women in science and medicine to spark interest, dialogue, and contribute to the advancement of females in STEAM fields. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economics and Statistics Administration, Women in STEM: A Gender Gap to Innovation, "...although the number of women earning college degrees has been increasing, they hold less than a quarter of STEM jobs nationally". This series is currently seeking biography nonimations as well as support through educational grants.
This educational series reaches a national audience utilizing a multi-channel distribution strategy.
Each inspiring episode will not only share some of the subject’s background and life challenges but we will learn how she overcame those challenges to become one of the STEAM industry's elite.
The series will highlight the contributions of women within STEAM careers and explore the experiences of women physicians, scientists, engineers, artists, mathematicians, and technology entrepreneurs.
Each story will provide a "day in the life” look inside the exciting work within each STEAM career. The impact and contributions women are having within STEAM need to be celebrated, documented, and shared.
